I’ve spent years… oh have I spent years… trying to poke around shitler’s mind. It’s virtually impossible since what he’s thinking seems to change mid sentence and often contradicts its own intent. Which at first I thought was genuinely just a liar being a liar.
Over time I kept scratching my ponytail and saying “Yeah, but even Republicans can hear the bullshit… what gives?”
The two things may in fact be linked. One of the major impediments to being the kind of president the animate spray tan wishes himself to be is having to convince people of things. He actually doesn’t like having to make a case. He avoids it like the plague.
Which is odd, given how often he’s in court. But then it dawned on me… half the time the arguments from the lawyers sound like they were written at 3 am after a bender. That is to say: they sound like legal arguments and seem to have some logic but given even the tiniest prick - they bleed stupid everywhere.
Doesn’t it strike you as bizarre that he wouldn’t at least demand more coherent work from his lawyers? Why not tap experts before making moves at all? Why not get a bunch of people around a table and hack the problems?
Trotsky Woods over here can’t bring himself to ask for help, admit he’s wrong or motivate the people around him without intimidation. I think a lot of people have been looking at this wrong assuming there is much more cooperation where there isn’t and in its place is mostly silently acknowledged fear of an unpredictable egoist. We see collusion and what we probably should be seeing is a whole lot of people with everything to lose being dangled over a balcony by their ankle. Not with empathy but with binoculars and a note pad.

He can’t even tell JD. Not just due to his ego but because it’s his only way of keeping himself ahead. At this point he has to be pissing bullets because frankly he’s not got the brain cells to be on all the bases.
Mixed sports metaphors aside, what we’re witnessing is a man that can’t turn back and has no other option but burn it down around him. He’s toast either way.
Why doesn’t he at least try to come up with more convincing lies? It’s too much to keep up with. He has an ego a million times his value. And he can’t ever appear to not know what’s happening. On the one hand his followers prop him up by being chaotic and distracting. On the other his puppeteers and sycophants lead him around by making him think thing were his idea in the first place. Some are likely convinced his nonsensical power grabbing has been successful. It’s an alternate universe still obsessed with Clinton, and Hillary too.
He’s actually just impotent and pathetic. His absolute insistence that he not miss his golf tournament on account of bombing people proves this. He had something to prove. He can win at chasing his balls around the yard.
